Expanding Spiral Cubes

This work is a long chain of origami spiral cubes that is meant to represent a pair of glasses. When closed, it reads “Eye” that links to the word “Glass” which can be seen at end of the chain when opened. Upon looking inside, viewers can also see spikes poking out from all sides which resembles shards of glass. The edges and sides of the chain contain important content as well. From one angle, each corner states a different clue that is meant to lead the viewer to the object behind the design. At another angle each side clearly states the object saying “I am a pair of glasses”.
